The preliminary list of Heads of State scheduled to make formal statements next week was released this morning. Quite a list. Some of the highlights include:
José Manuel Barroso - President of the European Commission
Robert Mugabe - President, Zimbabwe
Kevin M.Rudd - Prime Minister, Australia
George Papandreou - Prime Minister, Greece
Wen Jiabao - Premier, China
Benjamin Netanyahu - Prime Minister, Israel
Hosny Mubarak - President, Egypt
Prince Albert - Head of State, Monaco
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - President, Iran
Luiz da Silva - President, Brazil
José Zapatero - President, Spain
Angela Merkel - Chancellor, Germany
Nicolas Sarkozy - Président, France
Silvio Berlusconi - Prime Minister, Italy
Prince Hamzah bin al Hussein, Jordan
Notably absent is President Obama. While he is not officially listed yet, Todd Stern from the State Department is scheduled to speak for the U.S. as a placeholder.
